How accurate is the layout visualization?
The visualization provides a simplified representation of how pieces could be tiled. It prioritizes fitting the maximum number of pieces by calculating the best orientation (rotated or not) for each piece type. For complex, intertwined layouts, manual adjustment may still be needed.
Can I optimize for different piece types simultaneously?
Yes, you can add multiple pattern pieces. The tool calculates potential fit for each piece type and aggregates the total area used to show overall waste. The visualization will show blocks for each piece type.
